New Comittee elected for the 2010 season

Hi to all
The New Comittee for the 2010 season has been elected for the APBA. This was put to the vote by all who recently attended the latest comittee meeting and all these position were filled with the help of a unanimous vote on each occassion.
The new President of the APBA is Bill White, Congrats to Bill and thanks to him for his willingness to take on the responsibilities this postion requires.I'm sure that the APBA will have a great year with Bill at the Helm.
The Vice President of the APBA is ..yours truely Andrew Rover Reis...I thank everyone for their support over the past year and look forward to working closely with the new committee in 2010.
The Treasurer for the APBA in 2010 will be Eion Memon who has been the Treasurer of the APBA since its beginings some years ago.
Our Public Officer for the 2010 season is Paul Kenny...I'm very happy to have him on board as he has been a huge supporter of our sport .Paul is a person who will go to great lengths to help promote our sport.
The Clerk of the course for the APBA in 2010 is Liam White and though it was not made official Kayla Taufa
was nominated for the position of secretary.I hope that she is able to fill this position as she has been a great asset to our sport in the past too.
Ian James has volunteered his services to get a new revised APBA website up and running and the APBA thanks him for giving up his time.With the new site members will be able to download things like Nomination forms ,membership forms and we will have the leadership board for the season which will be up dated regularly.This site will be a great asset to the APBA and I'm sure that members will enjoy logging on to it.
Now...get ready to start dusting off those bikes!....The first ride day at the Barrossa Track will be on February 14th 2010, gates open at 9.00am I think!
The Next Comittee Meeting will be held on January 22nd 2010 at Paul Ks Warehouse {to be confirmed}
Address Unit 3/ 21 to 23 Naweena Rd Regency Park.
For those that wish to contact Bill White or Myself to find more info please ring Bill on 0407556727 or Andrew on 0402981339.
I look forward to catching up with everyone in the new season...OH and don't forget to try and bring a friend out to our first ride day for the Year.

Thanks andy for the kind words, and im sure with the people we have onboard The comittee for 2010 the future looks solid for the sport here in SA , a quick update regarding monarto i have sent 2 letters now direct to the president and made several personal calls to comittee members unfortunately at this stage i have had no repsonse which is a little dissapointing however its still under revue im told, should this not work out then i will contact whyalla kart club direct and see if we can work with them , im looking early next year in jan, trying to organise a display to promote pocket bikes and
the club as not only a sport but a familly based activity to be enjoyed by all ages , the sport really needs its profile lifted here in SA and by going direct to the public we can achieve this, clearly in the past this wasnt needed as the sport had a boom for a few years however the past couple of years we have seen numbers drop away in every club this needs to be turned around for the sport to grow , we will also look at providing bikes free of charge for new riders to come and try and this will give them a chance to try the sport with very little cost involved and also provide a free assistance in repair and upgrade of there bikes , there is also alot of other plans we have for 2010 in the pipline to make south australia the safest and cheapest place with one of the best tracks in australia to ride your pocket bike . I would also like to wish every person aust wide on the forum a safe and enjoyable xmas with your family

Should be a great year in 2010. Was good to be at the meeting and I would like to thank Eion for approaching me for a committee member position. I unfortunately just don't have the time, but Iam very appreciative of the people elected to take on the roles they have, as I know the time and effort that they will be dedicating for the befit of all. It was great to see everyone come together to get the new season under way, and will thank some here, Paulk, Rover, Captain Grumpy, wbr, Eion, and for me a special thanks to Jeremy for the valuable info he has provided to me for the web site. (working on it know guys)

Anyway I look forward to the new year with a couple of new bikes to run (Thanks Ozminimoto for the great product and fantastic service) and catching up for the social side again with everyone. Anyway have a great Xmas all, and I better go before rover slaps me for spending time here and not on the site HEHE
