Here's were some of the license fees go to, a shiny new building.. Most of the rest goes into their pockets..
Motorcycling Queensland: About Us
Approved tracks only.. With regular inspections for not only track safety but also for riders following the rules which ultimately should be the promotors responsability to ensure..
Motorcycling Queensland: Licences Hope bazza'a got deep pockets cause he'll need them to be able to fund the magor track safety restructuring, paying for track inspections, paying to get marshals MA trained etc, all that on top of big dollars to re-surface and install a timing system..
Motorcycle Sportsman approached QR to secure the main Lakeside Circuit for racing, after MA visited the circuit they said NO and it was simply down to the fact of inadequate run off (not complete lack of), yet Champions Ride days can run events there under AASA with the use of 'airfences' in these said inadequate sections, go figure..
Check out their news feed.. As mentioned, they are about dirt motorcycles sports more than anything else..
They do have grants however and that's great news if riders travel over 250km to compete..

Also this is not solely directed at archy nor should be considered an attack.. I believe it applies Aus wide if clubs wish to build numbers of their respective Clubs/Businesses..
As Ringo mentioned above it is $85 a year for a license in which they can not even compete, if they wanted to obtain a Competiton Club license they would be looking at about $120-$140, then if they wanted to compete against other clubs Aus wide on an MA affiliated track they would be looking at $180+ for a National Comp license..
Perhaps as Bollo said, Promoto is the way forward for some clubs.. The question remains, would those clubs or businesses be prepared to hand over eveything and walk away??
